Since the secret end doesn’t really say too much about the outcome, it is speculated that the national guard get involved in ending the cult. I think the bad end to 5 also feeds into new dawn, team dies, national guard doesn’t get involved because they couldn’t make contact, nuke, new dawn happens.
The point of the ending was "everything you did is pointless". I know it feels super underwhelming. But honestly I liked it for not having a traditional strictly "good" ending. But I know a lot of people want a resolution and stuff. The ending reminds me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail's ending in a weird way. #6.
You da man and this was 1000% better than the actual ending. Petition to Ubisoft to add an ending that doesn't suck:
I feel bad for the people who ignore the actual stories in the past few Far Cry games, the stories are what make the game. Far Cry 3 had the best story of any FPS game I've played in the most recent years, only to be outdone by Halo Reach and Titanfall 2. I'll never understand why people buy the game, just to ignore the story.

Im pretty sure the games aren't the same timeline, they are just games coming next in the series the nuclear ending did happen and let to new dawn, but in a different timeline it didn't happen or far cry 5 just didn't happen as a whole, and it went to far cry 6, idk im im right on this but i think i am. 1.

Far Cry 3 had two possible endings, one of which was bittersweet (save your friends and leave Rook Islands) and one an outright downer ending (kill your friends and get killed by Citra). Far Cry 4 you can kill Pagan or let him escape, and leave Kyrat in the hands of Sabal or Amita, or you can kill them both.
Like every other Far Cry endings need I remind you Far Cry 3 killing off the most interesting character half way through and replacing them with a no body. Far Cry 3 `s story , despite the salt from Vaas fanboys, was not about Vaas. It was about Jason: Jason can have his happy ending, which is kinda bitterasweet, but leaning more on the sweet
But like a lot of things in Far Cry 5, the ending winds up feeling abrupt and kind of random. I think when it comes down to it, this game just isn’t bold or sure-footed enough to do something as
