I'm looking for a telezoom lens and considering the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS (MK1) and the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2. The Canon I'd get it second hand and the Tamron I can get it new (most likely grey-market / hong kong import). I'm using a Canon 7D MK1.
The Canon RF 70-200 2.8L IS completes Canonâs RF Hebrew Trinity. This version is smaller, more compact and lighter than previous models. I love how small it is and that it doesnât have to lay on itâs side to fit in my roller bags.

I came to two obvious choices RF 70-200 L IS f/2.8 and EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS III. The big vote for EF version if the inside zooming mechanism, which I love on f/4. Plus I could use it on 6DII with EF extender I have. I know RF is newer, should be better AF, IQ and so on, but there is 1200 USD price gap where I live between these two.
