Posted July 3, 2014. my 59 plate 1.6 petrol at the minute does 38.3 mpg thats with a few longer journeys than usual. usually with short town trips and work (8miles each way) i get 36ish mabye more. long motorway i can get early 40's. I keep the oil changed every year and service it etc .

Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec - High Miles - Andrew-T. Going to collect tomorrow just wanted to make sure I'm not making a mistake. Outside and inside of car is clean. engine looks to be in good condition no leaks. With an 8-year-old car and 142K on the clock, only time will tell, and certainly no-one here can. You must trust your own skill and judgment.
